Where Did Always Best Hair Come From?

2013 — It Started in a Salon

ABH began not in a boardroom, but behind a styling chair. In 2013, Jimmy Zhang and his wife Cathrine opened a hair salon with a simple but urgent mission: make high-quality hair extensions accessible to everyone who needs them. Their clients ranged from women wanting fuller, longer hair to cancer patients navigating chemotherapy-related hair loss. What united them was the same need — hair that looked and felt real, at a price that didn't feel exploitative.

At the time, the salon struggled to source extensions that met their standards. Most suppliers offered inconsistent quality, questionable sourcing, or prices inflated by layers of middlemen. Jimmy and Cathrine realized the only way to guarantee quality was to control production themselves.

2017 — We Built Our Own Factory

In 2017, ABH established its own production facility in Juancheng, Shandong Province — a city with a century-long heritage in human hair craftsmanship. By owning the factory, ABH gained full control over every step: raw hair sourcing, minimal chemical processing, double-drawing to eliminate shedding, and final quality inspection before shipping.
